Chakra Balancing
What is Chakra Balancing?
The first reference to the Chakras is found in the Vedas, the most ancient texts of India, dated around 1500 B.C.E. The term Chakra is Sanskrit meaning “wheel” or “turning”. These centers correspond to various organs, systems and emotional patterns in the body. Each chakra forms a focal point for thousands of subtle energy channels called Nadis.
Many ancient and revised techniques utilizing color, gemstones, mantra, singing bowls, tuning forks and touch are incorporated into focusing on Chakra energy.
Balancing the Chakras is an avenue to living in harmony.
Yogis have described chakras as lotus blossoms. The lotus grows in the mud yet develops with a silk like coating that no mud can stick to. The lotus blossom symbolizes the passage from darkness into light, it is also a symbol of detachment as water beads and drops off of the petals with ease. Each petal corresponds with a different level of human awareness and each chakra is expressed by a vibratory frequency and sound or mantra, for each center. The study of chakras is rich with cosmology, psychology and depth.
